Tuesday Meeting 5/26/09

The Meeting Came to Order at 7:10pm

 

Cannon Falls Ridge Riders would like to Welcome the Kronenberger Family to the saddle club. 

 

Treasure’s Report:

Beginning Checking Balance:   $1958.60

Deposits Made: $105.00

Payments Made: $853.62

Ending Checking Balance: $1196.04

 

Beginning Saving Balance: $491.25

Total Balance is $1711.90

 

Fun Show was moved to sometime in the fall, this will be revisited at a later date.

 

Food Committee:  The Coke Trailer has been booked for the 4H Show and Ranch Rodeo.  Colleen and Rose went to Hub Foods for the Shows and also starting picking up pop. 

 

Show Committee:  The Ribbons have been ordered for all the shows, including GSCSA Show.

Kris J. called rose before the meeting about the port-a-potties.  She was quoted $194 for the two day July Horse Show, in which she has lined up.

A Signup sheet was sent around during the meeting, for anyone available to help during the shows.

 

Trail Riding Committee:  The May trail rides were great and everyone enjoyed the ride.  Everyone is welcome to join; we meet at Haycreek every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month.  Everyone meets at 6pm and we start riding at 6:30pm.

 

New Business

GSCSA has stated that all the GEO Cities is shutting down all hosts, and websites.  Yahoo Small Business website which is who our saddle club uses, will not be shutting down.  If we pay for the year it will amount to under $10 per month to host through Yahoo.

It was also brought up that we should talk about setting up next year’s shows and judges earlier to get the dates and judges that the saddle clubs like.

An idea was brought to the table that the saddle club could hold a Barn Yard Sale; this will be revisited after all of the shows for the year.

We will be emailing a membership list to all the emails that we have, we will not be posting the membership list on the internet.

We will be having an Arena Clean up day June 20th starting at 9am.  Don will be renting at rock picker, and Tony will be bringing the paint for any touch ups that we may need to do.  Please bring anything that you may have, cleaning supplies, brushes, rollers, steel brush, etc.

You can get you GCSCA Books from the Saddle Club they are $5.00 per book

We would also like to Thank Mike Peterson for Bringing a Fridge for the Club House.

Please find attached sign up sheets for this years show.  Since we have five shows this year not including our participation with our food booth during the ranch rodeo we really need all of our members to participate.

Please find a time and position that you will be able to do during the shows.  We appreciate all of our members support during our show season. The sign up sheets will be available at our next meeting.  Thank you
